Associate Professor Julian Rait
Associate Professor Julian Rait, a Principal Associate at Eye Surgery, is a glaucoma specialist and an Associate Professor in Ophthalmology at the University of Melbourne. Associate Professor Rait has been on the staff of the Department since 1991 and has been involved with glaucoma research at CERA since its inception 10 years ago. He has served as a Federal Councillor of RANZCO between 1995 and 2003 and in 2004 was elected to the Council of MDA National, a medical indemnity insurer.
Associate Professor Rait has research interests in the epidemiology and patho-physiology of glaucoma and the pharmacology of glaucoma therapy. He is also particularly interested in clinical risk management for Ophthalmologists.
