Oculoplastics
Oculoplastics includes a wide variety of surgical procedures which treat the orbit (eye socket), eyelids, tear ducts, and face. This includes the surgical reconstruction of these structures. Patients can expect a comprehensive consultation to ensure they receive both a functional and cosmetic improvement.
The majority of day case eyelid procedures are performed with intravenous sedation and local anesthetic. Smaller procedures to remove persistent chalazions, styes, abscesses and cysts can be performed in the rooms on the same day with minimal discomfort to the patient.
The Oculoplastic Surgeons who partner with ESA are Ophthalmologists who have undertaken further specialist training in plastic surgery specifically to treat these areas.
